Sheeting appears in 3D but is missing from the 2D plan

Check the sheet’s plan visibility, then review its symbol and export key.

Why this can happen

A sheet can deliberately be visible only in 3D. Sheeting added to a timber frame face initially uses this setting.

What to do

  1. Select the sheet and open Sheeting edges & appearance.
  2. Enable Show in 2D plan if that sheet needs a plan symbol.
  3. Check the sheet and its layer are visible, and review the plan at a useful zoom level.
  4. Preview a 2D export and check the symbol and key. A sheet hidden from the 2D plan is also omitted from that view’s export and key.

Check before you continue

An overhead return and a vertical sheet can overlap in plan. Use 3D to explain the attachment and choose the plan information deliberately.
