Yes. Subscriptions are month-to-month or yearly via Stripe — cancel anytime from Dashboard → Billing. You keep access until the period you have paid for ends. A One Project Pass simply expires after 14 days with no recurring charge.

Does this replace RAMS or plans of work?

No. AsbestoPlan produces enclosure visuals you drop into existing RAMS, plans of work and client packs. It does not write risk assessments, method statements or statutory notifications for you.

Can admin or document teams use it without CAD experience?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The workflow is draw, drag assets, export — designed for planners and document teams, not CAD specialists. A mouse and desktop browser are recommended for the editor.

Yes. Many teams export matching 2D plans and 3D visuals for toolbox talks and site briefings so operatives can see airlock positions, routes and equipment before build.

What happens after the 14-day trial?

Business and Team trials require a card at checkout, but no charge until the trial ends. Cancel before day 14 and you will not be billed. If you do not subscribe, your account reverts to Free Preview — projects stay saved, exports return to watermarked until you upgrade.

What is the difference between Free Preview, One Project Pass, Business and Team?

Do I need other design software?

Accepted Answer

No. AsbestoPlan runs entirely in your browser with its own asbestos-specific 2D symbols and 3D models. You do not need to buy or install separate general-purpose drawing or 3D software.

Can I drag assets straight into my plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Drag any asset from the side panel into the 2D scene to drop it where you want. Clicking an asset still drops it in the centre of the canvas if you prefer.

Can I upload a floor plan image as a backdrop?

Yes, on any paid plan (One Project Pass, Business, Team and Company). Upload a PNG, JPG or SVG floor plan, set the real-world width and height, then trace your enclosure on top. The backdrop has its own opacity, position and lock controls.

Can I use my existing 2D assets?

Accepted Answer

Custom asset uploads for company-specific symbols and equipment are planned for the Business, Team and Company plans. The built-in library covers the common asbestos enclosure asset categories out of the box.

Can I edit in both 2D and 3D?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The 2D plan and 3D enclosure view share the same project model. Move an item in 2D and it updates in 3D. Move it in 3D and the 2D plan updates too.

Can I change colours?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Polythene, walls, zones, routes, frames and equipment can all be recoloured per object. Each placed item stays independent — recolouring one airlock does not affect any other.

Are my changes saved automatically?

Yes. Every change is saved to your project a couple of seconds after you stop editing. You can also save manually at any time. Undo and redo are fully supported.

Can I export drawings?

Yes. Every plan can export both the 2D plan and the 3D view as PNG or JPG (transparent or white background) — free exports carry a small watermark. Business, Team and Company remove the watermark and add high-resolution output, PDF and SVG, plus scale-accurate PDF printing. You can include a scene key/legend and a title block (project, client, site, date) in the export. A fully composed PDF report with an item schedule is planned next.

Does this replace RAMS or plans of work?

No. AsbestoPlan supports visual planning and produces drawings you can drop into your existing documents. It does not replace risk assessments, method statements, plans of work or any other statutorily required documents. Dedicated RAMS and plan-of-work workflows are on our roadmap for after launch.

No. AsbestoPlan is not HSE-approved or compliance certified. Final enclosure design and statutory duties remain with competent asbestos professionals.

Can I use it for licensed work?

Accepted Answer

You can use AsbestoPlan to produce enclosure visuals that support documentation for licensed and non-licensed work alike. It is a planning and communication tool, not a substitute for the formal duties around licensed work — notification, risk assessment, method statements and plans of work remain with the competent person and, where required, the licensed contractor.

Is my project data private?

Yes. Your projects, uploads and exports are stored against your own account with database row-level security, so other customers cannot see them. Export record copies sit in a private store accessed through short-lived signed links. You can download a full copy of your data or permanently delete your account at any time from Dashboard → Account & privacy.

What happens after the free trial?

Business and Team include a 14-day free trial. A card is required at Stripe Checkout, but no money leaves your account until the trial ends — cancel anytime before then and you will not be charged. If you do not continue, your account drops to the Free Preview: your projects stay saved, but exports return to watermarked until you subscribe or buy a One Project Pass. Download any clean exports you need before a trial or pass ends.

Yes. Subscriptions are managed through the Stripe billing portal from your dashboard — change plan or cancel whenever you like, with no long-term contract. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

Yes. Business includes 3 users, Team includes 10 and Company is custom. The workspace owner invites colleagues by email from Dashboard → Team, sets roles (owner / admin / member) and everyone shares company templates so drawings stay consistent. Team and Company also get workspace-wide export and version history, and Company adds branches/departments with advanced admin controls.
