Build a Warehouse Enclosure from Blank — editor preview
Editor preview: this recording includes features that are not yet released in the public editor. Draw a warehouse shell, add cladding and roof steels, then build a supported north-wall enclosure with one two-compartment DCU connection, separate baglock and outside NPU. Inspect the routing and export plan and 3D views.
Before you start: A fictional software demonstration recorded in the development editor. Preview features may differ from the live editor. British male AI narration and English captions. Site-specific design checks are still required.

0:00Start with the warehouse
We are building a fictional warehouse enclosure in Asbesto Plan, beginning with an empty drawing. First choose Structure, then Room, and draw the footprint. In Selected, enter the measured dimensions. This example is twelve metres by seven metres, with walls four and a half metres high. The warehouse is the setting for the work area, so leave space for the access equipment and the routes outside the enclosure. These dimensions illustrate the drawing tools; they are not a design for a real job.
0:35Roof, cladding and entrance
Choose a shallow gable roof and a metal sheet covering. The warehouse controls add steel portal frames across the building and purlins along its length. Here the portal spacing is four metres. Add the roller entrance on the west wall, then switch to three D. A roof cutaway makes the internal steelwork visible. Check the opening against its wall and inspect the building from an angle. The silver profiled cladding gives the shell its industrial appearance. Material choices and roof geometry remain editable in the room properties.
1:13Place the enclosure and its frame
Return to the plan and draw an enclosure zone along the north wall. The zone identifies the area served by the equipment. Separate frames and sheets represent the physical boundary. This example is six metres long and two and a half metres deep. Draw the upper lean-to frame and set its position and dimensions in Selected. Add sheeting to its roof face. The follow-frame option keeps that sheet attached when the host frame changes. Connect the upper sheet edge back to the warehouse wall and review the chosen target.
1:51Frame the openings and sloping ends
Build the front sections around the baglock opening, then the end sections around the DCU connection. Goalposts define the access openings, with separate supported panels above them. The end frames follow the slope of the upper enclosure. Use Top height difference to raise or lower the opposite end while the base stays level. Add sheeting to each required frame face, and connect its top edge to the matching roof-sheet edge. The small infill sections and the upper doorway closure are part of the model, rather than leaving unsupported gaps above the equipment.
2:28Connect the DCU and baglock
Place the mobile DCU, then add one two-compartment airlock between its dirty end and the enclosure. Keep this as one connection, rather than adding another airlock in series. Set the position and rotation so the enclosure end meets its framed opening. Add a separate three-stage baglock at the front of the work area. The catalogue stage controls determine the chamber layout. Link both access runs to the north-wall enclosure zone, and check their direction and the surrounding approach in the plan.
3:03Connect the intake and outside routes
Place the negative-pressure unit outside the enclosure at the far end, away from the access equipment. Select the adjacent sheet and choose the unit under Intake NPU. The editor checks that the intake is flush and parallel before enabling Connect intake opening. This creates the visible penetration. Next draw the exhaust duct and edit its route points so it continues outside the warehouse. Add the rear DCU discharge route to outside as well. The equipment class is a planning symbol: this drawing does not establish a commissioned airflow or a certified seal.
3:43Inspect and export the drawing
Use three D to inspect the access headers, sloping closures and intake. Temporarily hiding the building and enclosure zone gives a clear view of the frame and equipment; restore those layers for the overall plan. Open Export, choose the view and keep the key beside the drawing. Preview the generated file before downloading it. Use the plan for the overall arrangement and a separate three-dimensional view for the connections. This is a fictional software demonstration. The recorded scene is ready for further review and editing, rather than being a construction specification.
