Floor-plan detection misses doors, windows or stairs
Review the suggested geometry and complete ambiguous symbols manually.
Why this can happen
Faint lines, unusual symbols and low-resolution images can make an opening look like a gap or wall.
What to do
- Check the image scale first, then run Detect walls, openings & stairs.
- Review the wall runs and recognised opening candidates before building. Keep only the candidates you want.
- Check opening type, width, door swing, window sill height and garage operation. For stairs, check footprint, rise, base elevation and upward direction.
- Complete missed or unusual openings with the normal editor tools, and inspect the result in 2D and 3D.
Check before you continue
Detection is a starting point, not a guaranteed survey. Landings, winders and unusual glazing need manual completion. Detection does not automatically add rooms, roofs, floors, ceilings or sheeting.
