Use native stair cupboards and enclosure construction in Chat

Describe the actual surfaces and connections you want; Chat uses editable native geometry and retains review warnings.

Why this can happen

An existing room lining, separate timber enclosure, frameless boundary and under-stairs cupboard are different constructions. Naming the intended arrangement helps Chat choose the correct native objects.

What to do

  1. For a straight stair, ask for a native under-stairs cupboard. Say whether AIB is on the inside of its door, beneath the stair slope, or both. The cupboard follows the actual stair and its door must fit beneath the slope. Room-door dimensions do not automatically specify the cupboard door.
  2. To use an existing room as the enclosure, ask to line its existing inside walls, floor and ceiling. To draw a separate enclosure, specify its inside size, height, location and whether it uses timber framing or polythene-only boundaries. A frameless drawing does not establish a support design.
  3. Ask separately for the required openings, attached personnel or waste chambers and equipment. A chamber connects through a real floor-level opening. Review the complete route, chamber clearances and existing doors or windows that need a seal.
  4. If the stairwell must be closed, say so explicitly. The native closure uses a raised hood with internal film returns when retained guards need clearance, or a flat cover without guards. It blocks stair access. Review space above, support, fixing, actual seals and alternative access; it is not a walk-on platform.
  5. An illustrative modular DCU can be drawn from outside dimensions as native Clean, Showers and Dirty compartments, with real doorways and an intervening link to an attached personnel airlock. State the link, door and vent dimensions. It is distinct from a named catalogue unit and does not verify services or ventilation.
  6. Review the 2D and 3D result, warnings and stated assumptions. Follow-ups can change individual cupboard linings or enclosure framing. Undo reverses the drawing edit.

Check before you continue

These are editable planning representations. They do not identify asbestos, verify site containment, specify structural supports or establish adequate airflow. Unclear dimensions, surfaces and connections may need a focused follow-up question.
