Change airlock and baglock layouts
Explore straight runs, doglegs, early turns, returns and side exits using the setup controls.

0:00Start with a straight run
You can change an airlock's layout after placing it. Select the model and open Airlock setup. This example starts with three stages in a straight run.
0:10Compare left and right doglegs
Under Layout, choose Dogleg left to turn the run to the left from the clean entry. Choose Dogleg right to turn it the other way. The chamber size stays the same while the footprint changes.
0:23Move the turn earlier
Early turn left moves the corner earlier in the run. Early turn right gives you the corresponding turn in the other direction. Compare the chamber positions as you switch between them.
0:36Change the final exit direction
Switch to three D to compare the exit arrangements. Return left changes the final exit direction on a left-turning run. Return right does the same for a right-turning run. Watch the outer opening as the setting changes.
0:50Use a straight run with a side exit
Straight, exit left keeps the chambers in a line and moves the final exit to the side. Straight, exit right moves that exit to the opposite side. The three D view helps you see the opening and the curtains.
1:05Set the stage count and try a baglock
Back in two D, the Stages controls change the model's chamber count. Here is one stage, then two stages, then three stages. The available layouts update with the count. Baglocks have their own setup section with the same approach. Select the configuration specified for your project and inspect the result in three D.
