Change a wall angle or move a connected corner

Use the round endpoint handles in 2D, or enter a measured angle and length.

Why this can happen

Moving a wall body translates it. Moving an endpoint changes its angle and length while the connected corner stays joined.

What to do

  1. Switch to Select in 2D and select the wall. On touch screens, tap it once without opening Selected.
  2. Drag a round endpoint handle. The opposite end stays fixed and adjoining wall ends follow the corner. Drag the wall body instead to move the whole wall.
  3. Direction snapping gently assists common angles. With a keyboard, hold Shift for 45-degree steps or Ctrl/Command to release angle assistance.
  4. For an exact value, open Selected → Position & size and enter Angle or Length. These keep the start point fixed and move the connected end. Advanced provides Start and End coordinates.
  5. Check the adjoining rooms, openings and roof in both views. Undo reverses a complete drag; Escape cancels a mouse drag. Unlock adjoining walls before moving a shared corner.

Check before you continue

The editor rejects edits that collapse walls or break room boundaries. Angle and Length describe the straight chord between endpoints; curved wall length is also shown separately. Changing a corner can alter neighbouring room dimensions, so verify the surveyed layout.
