The uploaded floor plan is the wrong size
Set image dimensions or calibrate a known distance before tracing or detection.
Why this can happen
The image dimensions include its margins, and a printed scale is not enough after an image has been resized.
What to do
- Open Floorplan size and scale. If you know the whole image’s real-world width or height, enter it there, or use the resize percentage.
- For a known distance inside the image, use two-point calibration and enter that measured distance.
- Check another known dimension before starting detection or tracing.
- If the current image size is already correct, use Detect walls, openings & stairs directly; another calibration is not required.
Check before you continue
Changing the backdrop size does not resize existing walls or equipment. Verify important dimensions independently; image quality and margins affect the result.
