A room or wall will not move

Check selection, locks and connected walls before moving a room or wall group.

Why this can happen

An object or its layer may be locked, or the selected walls may still share junctions with another room.

What to do

  1. Switch to Select and check that the intended room or walls are selected.
  2. Check Object state in Selected and the layer lock in Layers. Unlock only the objects you intend to change.
  3. For connected rooms, review the room movement and detachment controls before dragging. A shared wall belongs to both spaces; moving one boundary can change its neighbour.
  4. To move several walls together, select the complete group first. Check the result in both 2D and 3D, and use Undo if the connected geometry changes unexpectedly.

Check before you continue

Detaching a room does not guarantee that every roof arrangement can be split or reattached automatically. Follow any geometry warning instead of repeatedly dragging the same blocked selection.
