Hide and restore walls
Hide a room boundary in 2D or 3D, reveal the interior and bring the wall back through the room controls.
Before you start: Start with a room. This example uses physical room boundaries and a 3D roof cutaway.

0:00Select the wall
Want to reveal the inside of a room? Select the room and open Walls. Choose the boundary you want, such as South wall. In the selected wall’s Object state section, find the separate controls for the 2D plan and 3D model.
0:15Hide the wall in 3D
Switch off 3D model to hide this wall in that view. The wall remains visible in the 2D plan. To see the result, switch to 3D. Here, the roof cutaway is already on, giving us a clear view into the room.
0:30Bring the wall back
To bring the wall back, return to 2D and select the room. Open Walls and choose the same boundary. Turn 3D model back on in Object state. The brick wall is visible again when we return to 3D.
0:45Control the 2D view separately
The 2D plan button works independently. Turn it off to hide the selected wall on the plan while keeping it in 3D. Turn it back on to restore the plan wall. These controls change visibility, so the wall remains part of your drawing.
