Draw and label a route
Add waypoints, finish a route, compare transit and waste styles, and give the route a clear label.
Before you start: Open a project in 2D with some space around your drawing.

0:00Choose the route type
Routes explain a path through your plan. Choose Route in the left tool rail. The group includes Transit, Waste and Safe, as well as Ducting and Pipework. For this example, we start with Transit.
0:13Add points and finish
Click once for the starting point. Click again wherever the route changes direction. These points are called waypoints. When the path is complete, press Enter. Our example now has three points and a visible direction arrow.
0:28Compare route styles
With the route selected, you can change its type in the right panel. Waste uses a red dashed style. Transit uses green. We switch back to Transit for this example. Choose the type that matches the route's intended purpose.
0:43Give it a clear label
Use the label field to name the route so another reader can understand it. Here, we enter Example transit route. The line and label support the explanation of your plan; the actual route still needs to be planned for the site.
