0:00Add a text label
Object names, such as the room name, come from the items in your drawing. Use the Label tool when you want to add your own note or heading. Click Label on the left, then click the canvas. Then enter your wording in Label text on the right. Here, we have added Example work area.
0:17Make your note readable
Set a readable Text size and choose a colour under Appearance and style. Black text works well on this light canvas. Drag the label to position it, or use its position fields for a precise location. Keep notes clear of the measurements and objects they describe.
0:34Hide a single annotation
To hide only this annotation, select it and click Visible under Object state. It changes to Hidden, and the text disappears from the drawing. Click Hidden while it is still selected to bring it back. Hiding the label keeps its wording so you can reuse it later.
0:52Switch names and labels off together
For a drawing without names or written notes, open More and switch Labels off. This hides the room name, asset names and text made with the Label tool. It does not remove the objects. Automatic dimensions have their own control, and placed dimension lines remain separately controlled.
1:09Check the exported result
This actual export shows the result with Labels off. The room, sheet and custom dimension are still present, but the names and Example work area note are absent. The export follows your visibility choices, so choose the information you want before sharing the plan.
1:26Restore names and notes
Switch Labels back on in More to restore the names and notes. If a particular label is still missing, check its individual Hidden setting as well. These two controls let you simplify the whole drawing or hide just one annotation.
