Draw and customise a scaffold run
Create a planning scaffold and adjust lifts, heights, bay spacing, boards and end settings.
Before you start: Know how to select an item and switch between 2D and 3D. This lesson uses a fictional planning model.

0:00Draw the run
Choose Scaffold, then Run, and drag across the plan. Select the new scaffold to edit its properties. This creates a planning model you can use to explain the layout.
0:12Set lifts and heights
Set Number of lifts, then choose the first and typical lift heights. Here, three lifts with a two-and-a-half-metre first lift and two-metre typical lifts produce a total height of six and a half metres.
0:24Adjust bays, boards and ends
Choose a bay-length preset and the number of deck boards. The actual bay length is shown above the presets because spacing fits the run. Use the end and building-side controls to refine the layout.
0:36Review the planning model
Switch to 3D to see the lifts and platforms together. You can return to Selected to make changes. The scaffold is a layout model for your drawing, rather than a structural scaffold design.
