Find, place and adjust an asset

Search for an airlock, place it on the plan, then change its rotation and position using the Selected panel.

Before you start: Open a project in 2D. This example uses a fictional training room.

0:00Search the library

Let's add an airlock to our training drawing. In Assets on the right, type airlock into the search box. The matching items appear below.

0:08Place a card on the canvas

Choose the three-stage airlock card. A click places it at the centre of the current view. Now open Selected on the right to see its properties.

0:19Change the rotation

Open Position and size in Selected. Set Rotation to ninety degrees, then press Tab. Watch the plan symbol turn, so you can check which way it faces.

0:30Set its position

Use X and Y to adjust its position on the plan. These values are in millimetres. Here, we move the airlock below the room, then fit the whole plan to the screen.
